Has your wonder medication seroxat turned you seroxatmad?

Site History

I am from near Durham in the North East of England. In 2003 aged 35 I was prescribed Seroxat whilst on the sick from work with Depression and Anxiety.
Even though I complained about the side effects I was told to keep taking it. I guess the medication itself did its job by distracting me by its side effects, mainly with me sweating, nausea and lathery, generally I felt like shit! Missing just one tablet would cause these effects to be amplified especially a feeling of 'not been there', my head would start to throb and i would feel as if my head was working at a different speed, and with a time lag to my body.
Luckily a search around the internet made me realise others had the problem and I even featured in an article done by the Daily Mail (April 2004) after been in touch with the www.seroxatusergroup.org.uk Around this time a BBC panorama program also said about its problems.
I eventually changed doctor in 2005, my new doctor stating he stopped prescribing Seroxat 2 years before I was started on it because of TV program's and associated bad press.
